Emerging Markets / Emerging Opportunities is the theme of the PricewaterhouseCoopers 17th Annual Global Forest & Paper Industry Conference. The Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver on March 31, 2004 in conjunction with the Certification Watch Conference.

This year COFI is co-hosting the Conference, which is traditionally used to release COFI's report on BC forest industry performance. COFI's Annual General Meeting will be held on March 30th to facilitate member participation in both events.

The Conference will feature industry financial performance updates, market insights, and panel discussions from leading forest and paper executives with a focus on emerging markets and opportunities. Confirmed speakers include Tim Nicholls, President and CEO Weldwood of Canada Ltd; Steven Rogel, Chairman, President and CEO, Weyerhaeuser Company; Sam Ketchum, Director Corporate Planning, West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd; and Paul Newman, Director of Market Access and Trade, COFI.
