(23 September 2009) According to German softwood lumber producers, business activity on domestic and foreign sales markets slowed down at the end of August. Moreover there has still been no evidence of any radical revival in demand up to mid September. This is attributed for the most part to the comparably well stocked stores of softwood lumber buyers. In August in particular, there were apparently extensive purchases that led to a considerable increase in client stocks.
