From what French manufacturers say, business in maritime pine plywood has recovered a little since the beginning of July. Demand had stabilised as early as June, after having tended to fall until the end of May. Like in the case of other plywood products, the slight upward trend is being attributed by manufacturers and importers at least partly to stock replenishing purchases, after stocks had been reduced considerably during the last few months. Moreover, the producers of maritime pine plywood are profiting from the supply problems with elliotis pine plywood from Brazil that materialised in the last few weeks. |
